From Consciousness to Matter - Doshas

The process of "breaking the symmetry" of the Unified Field is not only spontaneous but also sequential. Once this eternal self-referential process of development has begun, it continues indefinitely, creating the diversity of the Universe. The sequentially evolving interactions between rishis, devatas and chhandas are, says Maharishi, "those subtle creative impulses which are involved in the transformation of the field of mind into the field of matter."

Let us explain this last thought. The initial steps of the developmental sequence produce what becomes mental reality: the existence of the "I" (ahamkara, or ego), and then the intellect (buddhi) - the ability to discriminate. It is buddhi that is at the junction of unity and diversity, one and three, samhita and rishi, devata and chandasa.

Finally, after many intermediate steps, the progressive development gives rise to matter. Matter first manifests in the form of the five mahabhugas, where we will see that the mahabhutas have striking correspondences with the five "types of spin" of physics. From the five mahabhutas, further development leads to their combinations in three physical principles called the three doshas. The Doshas are the governing principles of the body. Again, there are many more steps in this progressive development.

This reasoning brings us back to the point: the three "dimensions" with which the MAV doctor must deal: consciousness, mind and body. Why should we deal with all of them?

three? The reason is that consciousness is ultimately the source of the mind and body. The body is a product of the subjective realm. Here we find the key to why thoughts and feelings can have such a powerful effect on physiology. The mind comes before the body, and the body comes from it.

We compare the Unified Field to an underground spring from which a tree can draw nourishment, and the qualities of the mind in this analogy can be compared to the roots. Clearly, the roots can greatly influence the tree. Awakening the mind to its full, limitless status by reviving its connection to the Unified Field "nourishes" health from its most fundamental level. This is why MAV places such a strong emphasis on copyright.

HOW DOES THE MANIFESTATION HAPPEN:

Comparison of Physics and Vedic Science

Does this have any analogies in the physics of the Unified Field? To reiterate, according to Vedic Science the Unified Field manifests itself as follows:

1. "Breaking of symmetry": caused by the very nature of the Unified Field as consciousness, the branching into the state of one (samhita) and its three qualities (the knower, the process of knowing and the known, or rishi, devata and chhandas) simultaneously.

2. These three qualities interact with each other to produce new generations of rishis, devatas and chhandas.

3. This interaction of rishi, devata and chandasa is a gradual process of development which ultimately leads to the emergence of matter.

It so happens that, like Vedic Science, physics describes the super-unified field as having a "three-in-one" nature, as infinitely calm and infinitely dynamic, and as manifesting through a process of "spontaneous, progressive symmetry breaking". We will not go into the mathematical details of physics, but the analogies are striking.
